Dr Kelvin Wong is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
He subspecialises in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management.
His areas of expertise include the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia, performing device implantations (pacemaker, defibrillator) and ablations for supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
He obtained his certificate of completion of training in cardiology and general (internal) medicine following training as a senior electrophysiology fellow at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Between 2008 and 2010, Dr Wong was the research fellow for electrophysiology at John Radcliffe Hospital, UK.
In 2012, Dr Wong was appointed as locum consultant at John Radcliffe Hospital and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
He was previously a consultant cardiologist at Changi General Hospital and visiting consultant at the National Heart Centre Singapore.
He also helped develop the electrophysiology service at Changi General Hospital, as well as the inherited cardiac conditions clinic and the atrial fibrillation clinic.
An advocate for research and education, Dr Wong is the recipient of several research grant awards, and was principal investigator for published independent research projects.
He was also appointed adjunct assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and Duke-NUS Medical School.
Dr Wong often travels to chair and share his experiences at national and regional conferences.
