Dr Lim Ing Haan is a cardiologist practising in Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
She subspecialises in interventional cardiology, which involves treating diseased heart vessels or coronary artery disease.
Her clinical expertise includes complex coronary angioplasty and stenting, the use of heart imaging, peripheral intervention of lower limb and kidney arteries, sports cardiology, preventive cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation.
In 2005, Dr Lim was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award from the Ministry of Health to pursue subspecialty training in interventional cardiology at the Duke University Medical Centre in North Carolina, USA. In particular, she trained in various kinds of minimally invasive endovascular surgery.
Dr Lim was formerly the director of the Cardiac Interventional Laboratories in TTSH. She helped to establish the 24-hour acute heart attack Interventional Service in 2008. Dr Lim is currently the chairman of the credentials committee of Mount Elizabeth Hospital and serves on the hospital's medical advisory board.
Aside from clinical work, Dr Lim has frequently published her research in internationally recognised journals. She was a commissioning editor of Heart Asia, a renowned cardiology research journal. She has also been invited to participate in many regional and international interventional cardiology meetings, such as AsiaPCR/SingLIVE and Asian Interventional Cardiovascular Therapeutics Congress.
Dr Lim is also an adjunct faculty with the Duke–NUS Medical School.
