Dr Khong Kok Sun is an orthopaedic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.

His specialty interests are joint reconstruction and replacement, musculoskeletal tumour surgery, orthopaedic trauma, and sports surgery.

Prior to private practice, Dr Khong had worked at the Singapore General Hospital and Alexandra Hospital.

He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, UK and completed his master’s degree in general surgery. He was awarded a government scholarship at Mayo Clinic, USA, to be trained as the earliest surgeon to perform musculoskeletal tumour surgery in Singapore. He was later awarded a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the Shock Trauma Centre, USA.

Dr Khong is part of the teaching faculty for institutions in Switzerland, Singapore, and the USA, and is an appointed adjunct associate professor at NUS.

He was the president of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association, and visiting consultant at St Luke’s Community Hospital. He sat on the advisory committee for orthopedic surgery with the Ministry of Health and specialist medical board (orthopaedics) with the Singapore Armed Forces. He was also the programme director of specialty training committee (orthopaedics) at the Academy of Medicine, Singapore
