Dr Foo Kian Fong is a medical oncologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
His clinical interests are in gastrointestinal cancers.
He started training in medical oncology in 1998, completed his advanced training, and was a certified specialist in 2001. He had a one-year stint as a Fellow at the Peter McCallum Cancer Institute in Melbourne where he underwent training in gastrointestinal cancers from 2001 to 2002.
Dr Foo was previously a senior consultant in the department of medical oncology at the National Cancer Centre.
He was also a former clinical teacher in medicine at the National University of Singapore.
He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologist, European Society of Medical Oncologists and the Hong Kong College of Physicians.
He served as a committee member of the Singapore Society of Oncology in 2000 and 2003, and was a member of Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee of the National Cancer Centre from 2004 – 2008.
